Share the Culture: discussions panels
Bottom-up initiatives – an alternative or supplementation of public institutions’ offer?
People passionate about music, activists, animators, propagators of visual activities – they all share the drive to act and develop culture. Sometimes in a micro scale, at other times in a macro scale, however always through activities that function beyond the scope of public institutions of culture. These people devote their time and incur large costs to support culture and develop interesting phenomena without any institutional support just because they are worthwhile and deserve to be promoted. How do they differ from large entities and what quality do they contribute to cultural activity? What motivates them to this and how do they perceive their role? In a shared discussion we will think about where enthusiasts who decide to spread culture on their own come from, how important their role is and what problems do they face.
